About Purple Macaroni
Purple Macaroni Productions is the umbrella name for filmmaker Amy Beth O’Brien. Amy has been making movies since 2002 when she came on board as editor for the documentary “The London Experience,” produced by Windy Borman (DVA Productions). Since then, she has produced several short films and a half hour documentary. I have put up my new services and rates page, and you will note that I include Final Cut Pro (FCP) tutoring. FCP is a great program, but it does take some time to learn. I have years of experience both with the program and with assisting others to learn the program, and I would like to share that knowledge with others looking to tell their stories with video. Whether you are a new film student who needs a little extra one-on-one time in between classes, or someone looking to move up from iMovie, I’d love to help you get more out of Final Cut Pro.

Purple Macaroni is working with parents of students at Tucker-Maxon Oral School in Portland, OR to create a documentary that will promote the school and raise awareness of its unique mission. Purple Macaroni will be responsible for all aspects of production on this project.
Amy is shooting and editing promotional clips for the Literary Arts Foundation to showcase their Writers In The Schools program. The project is being produced by Nicky Silverstone. To be completed this Spring.
Purple Macaroni is producing the web video content for the David Robinson for Congress campaign. This includes filming and editing David’s issue statements, as well as preparing the video for upload to YouTube, often with a turnaround of only 24 hours.
